“Not actual size”

The FDA has ruled that the PillCam Colon (I am not making that name up) by Given Imaging is “not substantially equivalent” (NSE) for use in the US.

Homi (I am not making that name up either) Shamir the president and Chief Executive Officer of Given Imaging, stated that the company was disappointed by the FDA’s decision, and is evaluating options to bring PillCam COLON to the U.S. market as quickly as possible.

Why this booty pill made it to this blog… about 5 years ago I had appendicitis which I ignored for entirely too long. When I finally visited the doctor I was in bad shape. Without going into the lubricated details, the nice doctor spent some time digging around up in my tail section.  I relive this horrible event in frequent nightmares which end in cold sweats. I don’t like people near my butt!  Long story short… I want this pill to be a reality before I have to see Dr. Booté again. Good luck PillCam colon… good luck.
I guess I could visit Israel if I need a colonoscopy anytime soon.
