The geeks at ThinkGeek have just launched their pocket sized D-Pad for iOS and Android gadgets. This is an addition to the iCade family. The iCade 8-Bitty is basically a Bluetooth gamepad full of 80's retro goodness. Read on for the full Press Release.
You may remember ThinkGeek's April Fool's prank about the iPad iCADE, if not here is the original idea/prank. Well I am happy to report that this iPad arcade idea is really going to make it to market thanks to ION Audio and Atari. The iCADE will come with the classic Asteroids with more titles to follow. Yours for $99.99 here.
The geeks at ThinkGeek put up one of the coolest iPad gadgets I have ever seen. The iCade uses a standard 30-pin docking connector which turns your iPad into a mini arcade. The system also includes a 10w USB power adapter to keep the iPad juiced up for long gaming sessions. Yours for $99.99 here.
The Atari Arcade ($60) is like the iCade but cheaper and with that full arcade feel (sorta). The iPad Atari Arcade docks to your iPad connector and is powered by the iPad (no need for extra batteries). Expect to see the Atari Duo-Powered Joystick, and Atari's Greatest Hits app, in early October.
