Because of the hefty price tags attached to most portable media players (Archos, Cowon, etc…)… sales have been slow. Honestly, how many people do you know that have a portable media player? Looks like Viewsonic may have figured this out with their $199 price point. The MovieBook VPD550T will support DAT, MPG, MPEG, VOB, MP4, MOV, AVI, DVD Video, ASF, WMV, MKV, TS, RM/RMVB, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC ,OGG, FLAC, APE, AC3, and DTS formats. Image and ebook content will also be able to be viewed on this gadget. Expect battery life to be about 20 hours of audio and 4 hours of video.

Until my iPhone or iPod gets 1080p this isn’t a bad addition to the gadget pile. The VPD550T is expected to hit in late March or early April.

“Anyone can go down to the local bike shop and pick up a crappy bike computer that tells you how fast and far you’ve ridden. But there’s a whole new breed of wireless bike computers, ANT+, that not only track how fast or far you’ve gone, but also things like heart rate, cadence, power and more. The Pedal Brain is the first product that connects your current ANT+ devices with an iPhone app.

Pedal Brain Synapse is the device that syncs your ANT+ data with an iPhone to provide realtime data that you can see on your iPhone. With GPS from the phone, you can track your own rides, find your cycling buddies, and then analyze the data with your coach after the ride.

Pedal Brain should be available in March for between $130 – $190, and you can get a monthly subscription to store your data online.”

Enter the Kohjinsha dual screen notebook computer. The Kohjinsha 2 screen laptop has dual 10.2-inch LCD screens. The best part is

that one of the screens hides behind the other screen for portability. Kohjinsha Dual Display PC runs on the AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor 1.6GHz and up to 4GB of RAM. Kohjinsha Dual Display notebook has Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi, a 2.5-inch hard drive, and a TV tuner. Look for the 2 lcd notebook in Japan for around $800. I want one!

Folks who just so happen to own a Mini DisplayPort-equipped monitor (you know, like Apple’s 24-inch LED Cinema Display) have been longing for this adapter for what feels like forever, and while Atlona assured us it was coming way back in July, it has taken until now for the all-important ship date to arrive. The AT-DP200 is capable of maintaining resolution and HDCP compatibility, but considering the $179 price tag, we might suggest picking up a new graphics card instead. Your call, buster.
