AKA – Why I like Apple and have an iPhone. Any government that has overstepped their bounds and openly spy on their citizens sucks, plain and simple. Our once great country has started sucking in many ways, too many to list here.  There are more countries that are worse, but it is still a tough pill to swallow for me. Apple makes it tougher for such governments to spy on iPhone users by encrypting data on phones, not allowing access to warrantless government overreaches, and encrypting iOS-to-iOS messaging (iMessage). Don’t...

Wireless LED Endoscope Snake Light Camera 1

Before you swipe on by and ignore this little gadget, think of all of the times you could have used something like this in the past. Ever lost something in the drain, had to look in a tight spot that like an engine, ever wondered how clean or dirty your clothes dryer vent is…? There are a ton of uses for this inexpensive wireless LED endoscope.

For just $20-$30 you can have your very own 720p camera with built-in LED lighting at the end of a 5-meter semi-rigid cable. I know, it doesn’t sound that exciting… until you need just this tool (and don’t have it). In my best infomercial voice “but wait… there’s more… if you order now you also get the following attachments… a hook, a magnet, and an angled mirror!”.

The wireless endoscope works with iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. (more…)

Apple iPhone X Leather Folio

A few days ago Apple announced their latest phones, the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the most expensive iPhone yet… the iPhone X. All of these phones have glass on the front and back so a case might not be a bad idea.

This official Apple iPhone X Leather Folio ($99) will help to protect the front and back of your phone while simultaneously making Steve Jobs roll over in his grave. He never was a fan of covering up the phones. It is available in Cosmos Blue, Taupe, Berry, and Black.

Here is what Apple has to say about the iPhone X Folio –

Crafted from specially tanned and finished European leather for a luxurious look and feel, the iPhone X Leather Folio fits snugly around your iPhone. Open it and your iPhone X wakes up. Close it and it goes to sleep. Inside there’s a soft microfiber lining for even more protection, and space to hold your bills, small notes, and several cards. And you can keep it on all the time, even when you’re charging wirelessly.

Let me start off by saying everything written on this particular post is just a bunch of speculation and rumors. With that said, if the past is any indication of the future, said rumors tend to be accurate. The next iPhone (iPhone 8?) is supposed be getting rid of the front home button. This means that the Touch ID sensor is going away as well, or it is being repositioned elsewhere. If this iPhone 8 video is accurate, then the Touch ID sensor is going to be on the back of the phone. This 10-second iPhone 8 Touch ID video came from Weibo...

If you, or someone you know, has to check their blood sugar frequently the iHealth Smart Glucometer ($29.95) might be worth a look. It is FDA approved and makes it easy for gluco-monitoring and sharing this data with your doctor. This lightweight, portable glucometer works with the iHealth Gluco-Smart app to measure and save your readings on your secure iHealth account, and lets you share them with your doctor or family members right from your touchscreen....

Ever tried having a conference call on your iPhone? It works fine enough but the speaker isn’t loud enough for a standard sized conference room. Apparently there is enough of market, according to Pioneer, that they created a solution. The Pioneer Rayz Rally ($99). Strange name. The Pioneer Rayz Rally is the first Lightning powered portable speaker. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC: instantly create a high-quality conference anytime –...

The Elago M4 ($35) is the coolest place to have your iPhone 6, 6s, or 7 hanging out while at your desk. It transforms your iPhone into a vintage Macintosh computer of sorts. The iPhone can be charged while in the stand and the volume buttons are still easily accessible. Perfect for the Apple groupie in your life.    ...
