If you are anxiously waiting until midnight to order your Apple Watch, here is an unboxing video to help tide you over. Florence Santrot of Metronews has gotten ahold of an Apple Watch and gives users a better idea of what to expect upon opening the box. I am glad the charging cable is nice and long. I have been on the hunt for a solid waterproof Bluetooth speaker for over a year now. This long search isn’t because I am looking for top-of-the-line audiophile quality sound. It is simply because, so far, all of my waterproof speakers have died after getting wet just a few times. So, here I go again with yet another “rugged waterproof wireless speaker” the BoomBottle H20.  My hopes are high as this soda can sized Bluetooth speaker is IPX7 rated. This means it should be able to stay immersed in 1-meter of water...

Ouch! The Apple Watch pricing has arrived and while the Watch Sport (aluminum) and Watch (stainless steel) versions are priced fairly ($349-$1,099) the Watch Edition (18-Karat gold) version is very  expensive. Hey, maybe it is worth every penny of the $10,000 to $17,000 price tag. The watch is made of solid 18-karat gold after all. And people don’t seem to complain about the pricing of Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer watches and all they do is tell time. Guess we will have to wait and see how many people that can afford the gold Apple...

If you are one of the people with some extra scratch laying around that wants an Apple Watch but are having a hard time picking the right watch and band configuration, check this out. Some crafty folks have made a rather simple and functional website, MixYourWatch.com, which lets you mix bands and watch case configurations. I have tried just about every combination and I think I like the black steel (or black aluminum) with a black or blue fluroelastomer band. Just in case you are shopping for a gift for me. One can hope, right? ...

When I think of Apple advertisements, at least the ones in magazines or on billboards, I tend to think of a minimalist single page product shot. Apple’s latest advertisement is big, in fact it gets a 12-page glossy print spread in the latest Vogue magazine. While the exact ad rates aren’t known, you can pretty much guarantee it wasn’t cheap. ...

At first glance this quadcopter with built-in machine gun looks pretty real, and a bit scary. But after watching the video I am pretty sure it is more CGI than reality. Still cool though. Video of the machine gun quadcopter after the break. ...

Just like the Coolest Cooler, the Coolbox Toolbox aims to breath new life into a product that has been unchanged for quite some time. The Coolbox Toolbox is currently on Indiegogo and has blown through its funding goal. What makes the Coolbox ($179) so cool? Start off with a rugged toolbox, add a 12V rechargeable battery ,three standard wall outlets, two USB ports, a 10-foot extension cord, an iPad/iPhone stand, LED lighting, a whiteboard, bottle opener, handles/wheels, auxiliary audio jacks, a magnetic lid (for holding onto screws,...

I still think the JH Audio in-ear monitors are some of the best around. The only negative, other than the expensive price tag, is the fact that you have to visit an audiologist to get your ear canal molded. And sure, while this is a bit of an inconvenience it makes for the best fitting earphones. If that is too much work for you, take a look at the Shure SE846. They have the same crystal clear transparent design which shows off the drivers and internal bits but use the more generic rubber ear canal inserts. The SE846 comes with detachable...

I think the video does a pretty good idea of showing off this pimped out 2015 Cadillac Escalade (by Lexani Motorcars) but here is a quick list of some of the gadgets. World’s first mobile office/theater (not sure about this claim) Built-in 48-inch curved 4k smart tv Folding and reclining leather seats Electric curtains Satellite internet and TV Apple iPad with docking station Surround sound ...
