For the most part air travel is still pretty awesome (minus interactions with the braintrust crews of the TSA). You hop on a plane in California and in just 5-hours you are sitting on the beach in Hawaii. Amazing stuff. A few things that make the flight time take longer than it should are crappy boarding/boarders (don’t get me started) and the wait between door closing and the aircraft pulling away from the gate. Stirling Dynamics...

Subaru has, for the most part, ignored the SUV market, until now. Subaru’s latest vehicle is a new SUV with a new engine. Of course it will be all-wheel drive. The Subaru Ascent comes with a new 2.4-liter engine in the usual boxer configuration. This engine has 10.6:1 compression (higher than normal for Subaru) and a twin-scroll turbocharger with intercooler. All of this means that it will have 260 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a CVT style and can tow up to 5,000-lbs. The wheel base is 113.8-inches with 153.5 cubic...

If the latest Tesla Gen2 Roadster makes it to market (slated for 2020) it will be the fastest production car to date, with a 0-60 mph time of 1.9 seconds. That is insanely fast but will cost you around $200,000. 0-100 mph is expected to be just 4.2 seconds and the quarter mile would be under 9 seconds! Top speed wasn’t officially posted but Elon Musk hinted at 250 mph+. The specs are almost too good to be true. The battery is a massive 200kWh pack with a 620-mile range per charge. Video of the Tesla Second Generation Roadster after...

If the Honda Grom is too lowbrow or isn’t fast enough for you, check out BMW’s latest Scooter. The BMW C400X is the little brother to the C650 GT and C650 Sport scooters. The C400X has plenty of power for city and highway use and has some cool electronic bits and storage. The BMW C400X starts off with a new 350-cc single-cylinder engine with a single overhead cam and a balancing shaft. Single cylinder engines can often have vibrations and a thumping sensation, maybe this balancing shaft will smooth things out. Horsepower...

Having recently spent too much time traveling internationally I can attest to the fact that there are many levels of quality when it comes to airline seats. Everything from age, to seat comfort, to legroom, shoulder room, and more. Some airlines haven’t a clue about ergonomics or comfort while others seem to have it figured out. I won’t go in to the best and worst airlines at this juncture. This post is about the latest Emirates Airlines commercial showing off their awesome Boeing 777 First Class Suites. First things first....

Why not get your bikes LED head light to do some double duty as an HD camera. That is the idea behind the Cycliq Fly12 (and the Fly6 rear bike camera). The Cycliq Fly12 ($299) sports a 1080P camera with a 10-hour battery life, a built-in bike alarm, Strava integration, an LED 400 lumen light, and it is even weatherproof.    ...

If you drive a car, it is only a matter of time before a rock gets kicked up and leaves a nice chip or crack on your windshield. Such is life I suppose. Normally when you get a chip in the windshield glass (often called a bullseye, star, or crack) it is an expensive repair or a call to the insurance company. That is no longer the case with this inexpensive windshield chip repair kit at just $8. Read the instructions first and watch a couple of videos before...

François Gissy had a dream. He built that dream. His trike is powered by 35 gallons of water in a carbon fiber wrapped tank with a pressure of 6,000PSI. Uncork this bad boy and it gets to 62MPH in 0.55 seconds. Top speed on the water pressure trike is 162.2MPH before it runs out of pressure. Keep going for video. ...

The Honda 150SS Racer is a new concept bike, not a Honda Grom with mods. The Honda 150SS Racer was unveiled, as a concept (for now), at the Bangkok Motor Show this year. From the looks of it, the engine is from a Honda CBR150R which is a much sportier beast than the Grom’s motor. It is half retro and half modern/futuristic. Some key features of yesterday include disc style wheels, solid brake rotors, and a round headlight. On the modern side of things there is a rear mounted gyroscopic camera, a clear race number holder, and a under-body...
