Tesla_Roadster_0-60_Test

This awesome video shows the 2020 Tesla Roadster taking test riders on accelerations runs. For reference the Tesla Roadster can go from 0-60 mph in 1.8 or 1.9 seconds. Wild. That is the amazing part, the bummer part is the price tag ($200,000 to $250,000).

On to the video of people cursing as they are pinned to the back of their seats.s (more…)

Camping in plain site has become the new norm. If you drive around Mountain View, California – specifically around the Google campus you will notice RV’s and vans littering the streets. Some of these “campers” are a click above homeless and some are young tech workers. Either way, the trick to succeeding is hiding in plain site. In other words don’t use an RV, use a van. In this case, a tiny van. This inexpensive option, the Cascade Camper Kit, pimps out the Ram Promaster City van. For about $7,000 you can...

Lilium Jet Air Taxi
Over the last few years we have seen many attempts at VTOL concepts and personal airplanes. Few have been as smooth as the Lilium Jet Air Taxi. This cool little guy can take off vertically and fly at speeds up to 186 mph (same number for range). The Lilium airplane was originally going to be sold as a private aircraft but will now be used for ride sharing only (think Uber of the air). The Lilium Jet uses 36 individual electric fans for vertical and horizontal propulsion and should be on the market in the next few years. Video of the Lilium Jet in action after the break. (more…)

It looks like the 2014 prototype electric motorcycle is finally making it to production in 2019. Pricing and specs are still a mystery with the Harley-Davidson LiveWire. There is no gasoline used as this is an all-electric powertrain with a magnetic electric motor mounted low in the frame. I am not sure this will appeal to Harley-Davidson riders as they typically like to be the loudest and most annoying guys in...

First glance at the Structure Cycleworks SCW1 and you realize this isn’t your traditional mountain bike. The suspension designers threw out years of traditional suspension forks and opted for a linkage-style suspension. “The telescoping suspension fork has been highly refined over the past quarter-century, but will always suffer from two major drawbacks: instability under load and friction,” Structure Cycleworks CEO Loni Hull tells us. “The former...

That fellow, Shawn Cormier, leaning on this crazy contraption is the builder of what he dubs Tankenstein,  a half 1947 Mercury truck and half WW2 tank. Video speaks louder than words in this case. Click through for the video of Tankenstein in action. ...

Mahindra Roxor Black

Who knew there was a tiny Jeep copycat running around?  Not I. The Mahindra Roxor lives somewhere between an old Jeep CJ and a UTV. It is made in India by  Mahindra which has been making vehicles for over 70-years. In fact Mahindra makes things like airplanes, tractors, and cars.

The Roxor is already for sale in the USA starting at around $15,000. The Roxor is not street legal, but either is a UTV (typically). The Jeeps are assembled in the US from CKD (completely knocked down) kits shipped from India. Read on for more details, pictures, and video. (more…)

The Hitch Hotel (currently lives on Kickstarter) is a portable hotel for your car or truck, assuming you have a class 2 or higher hitch. It serves double duty as a storage box when closed (60 cubic feet of storage), and can hold three full sized bikes inside. When you are ready to convert the Hitch Hotel ($3,200) into a bedroom you simply extend the unit and deploy the adjustable legs. Inside you will find windows, vents, and a queen sized bed.   ...

Flying_Tesla

Thank goodness for these security cameras near the Little Avenue railway train tracks in Barrie, Ontario. These security cameras catch a few angles of this Tesla Model S getting some serious height and distance. The 46-year old driver and his passenger were treated for minor injuries, and the drier was charged with unsafe driving. The crash (off-camera) happened after landing and crashing into the Assikinack Public School parking lot. Full videos after the break. (more…)

DEFCO BA350 Super Giant Ford Raptor Front1

The Ford Raptor is a pretty great (and expensive) truck in its own right. But bigger is always usually better. This beautiful beast is the DEFCO BA350. It is a one-ton diesel truck with Raptor looks and DNA, and yes “BA” does stand for bad ass.

The truck manages to look like a Ford Raptor at the one-ton size with proper scale. They achieved this with massive raptor styled fenders, 43- inch military-grade tires, and beefy King suspension. There are a few options available for the BA350; Stage 1, 1.5, 2, and 3. Check out videos and more details after the break (and a link for a chance to win your own BA350 truck). (more…)
