Airplane Engine Motorcycle

This is more about the wow factor than anything else.  So don’t fret over the fact that you can’t take a corner without dragging the motor, or that the belt on the left side of the bike is likely to rip your pant leg off, or that if it doesn’t start in the first few tries you will likely have a dead battery.  None of that matters because when this bike is parked next to others… they will all be invisible.

This bike was put together by Frank Ohle in Germany and is powered by a 150hp Rotec Radial R3600 airplane engine.  This bike is amazingly unique and has to be one of the only 9-cylinder bikes around.  Video of the airplane engine motorcycle in action after the break.

Sasquatch Cocktail Shaker

Time to get the party started, in a big way.  The Sasquatch Cocktail Shaker holds a full 110-ounces and stands over 15-inches tall.  It is made of stainless steel and comes with the normal built-in strainer.  Margarita time!

Summly Yahoo

Yahoo has started to roll out summaries produced by Summly in its mobile app for IOS.  We aren’t impressed.  Granted we are biased, we have strong ties to Stremor, the makers of TLDRStuff.com, which is an alternative to Summly.  8 guys in the desert should be no match for the great and powerful SRI International, the creators of SIRI and the real brains behind Summly’s tech.  We expected Stremor to get crushed.  We knew what we expected to see when a 20 year history of language processing and hundreds of millions of dollars of research went up against a few guys without degrees in English, Linguistics, or MBA’s.  We expected it to be brutal. In that, we were right, but in this case David beat Goliath.

We compiled a few screenshots of the summarized feeds from Yahoo and placed the same links through the TLDR Plugin. Here are the results side by side, so you can make your own assessment.

This just might be my new favorite commercial.  If you haven’t seen the “Shift It” commercial you owe it to yourself to take a 1-minute break and watch it.  It is an amateur styled car transmission commercial.

Bathing Bad Salts

The Bathing Bad Bath Salts are a play on the blue meth that is cooked up on the show Breaking Bad.  Odd, considering the fact that folks are actually using certain bath salts as actual drugs.  Hopefully these are a different type of bath salt.  They claim to be “cooked in Albuquerque, NM”, Walter White would be proud.  Yours for $15.99 here for the serious Breaking Bad fan.

PointerPointer Website

Easier to show than tell… but you basically go to this website PointerPointer.com and wherever you put your cursor on the page it will find, and match, an image that has someone pointing to where your cursor is.  Pretty cool… now if I could only get those 10 minutes back.  Clever.

Japanese Cow Milking Game

You gotta love the stuff that comes out of Japan.  This Android based game is made by SEEC Inc, and is called Meichan no Chichi Shibori Taiken (translates to Mei-chan’s Udder Milking Personal Experience).  This odd game is now in the Japanese Google Play Store and stars pop idol Mei milking a cow for a photo shoot.

The goal of the game is to get as much milk into the bucket before time runs out.  You guide Mei in milking the cow by tapping/rubbing on the phone screen.  Sooo wrong.

Self Defense Night Stand

On one hand this table is straight up ridiculous… on the other it is pretty clever.  While it won’t win any style awards it looks to be pretty functional.  It can go from holding your alarm clock directly to medieval battle.  Next time you are roused from sleep at 3AM grab your pretty mean looking Billy-club and shield and go investigate.

Kegzie Beverage Cooler

It is basically what most call a beer drink cozy.  I guess it is, sorta, clever.  The drink cozy is designed to look like a keg of beer, hence the name, Kegzie.  Yours for $12.99 here.
