Terrafugia Transition – World’s First Flying Car

More of a drivable airplane than a flying car… but still cool.  The Terrafugia Transition will be available late 2009 for only $194,000.

Let’s do a walkaround. Out back is a push prop, and the front canard does double duty as a wing and bumper. Its gas engine will push it over a range of 460 miles through the air. Look at the cool way the wings fold up into a compact package, completing its metamorphosis from airworthy flying machine to street-legal road rocket.

It’d be cooler if that was an actual video of a prototype in action rather than a piece of computer generated marketing fluff. Show us the real stuff.

    World’s SECOND flying car.
    Or even lower than that.

There was one that had attachable/detachable, folding wings that could be towed by the driver
Saw it on History Channel today..

    But still very cool
