I’ve had the CM4 Q4 case for about three moths now, and have had plenty of time to give the long term review of it.  I live in San Francisco, I have butter fingers, and I ride motorcycles so my iPhone cases get abused.  When I first saw the CM4 case with the card slot, I thought it would be perfect for my urban life style.  I lug my phones like a wallet in my back pocket.  If I could combine my wallet and phone into one package, it would be like the good old days before cell phones when all a man needed was his wallet to function in the world.

On my first test I put the three things in the CM4 Q4 that I needed to survive the streets: debit card, drivers license, and two $20 dollar bills.  It was a tight fit to get those three things in the case slot. Whenever I needed to pull one of the items out, all three ended up coming out.  Imagine trying to walk through the front door of a dark crowded bar and flashing your ID to the door guy.  Now imagine sitting down in the bar and realizing your $40 bucks fell on the floor of the doorway to the crowded bar.  It’s a pretty easy scenario to imagine, and that’s why I hardly ever used the case as a wallet.  I like the idea, but found a better use for it, for me anyways.  Read on.

My lady friends really liked the wallet phone idea though.  I showed the case to a few different women, and they all loved the idea of being able to just bring the case/card holder out for an evening about town.  Less things to put in their tiny hand purse they said.  Over time, I came up with a use for the CM4 Q4 iPhone Wallet Case that I found to be handy.  I discovered the case was great for holding business cards.  It held them neatly (no more gross and rounded business cards from my real wallet), and unlike a business card holder, you always have your phone with you these days.

One thing the CM4 Q4 case does very well is protect your phone. The rubber is very durable, and well designed.  I accidentally dropped kicked my phone down the street yesterday, and the phone still looks great!  I would say I’ve dropped my phone on concrete a few times now, and the phone and the case are completely undamaged.  That, my friends, is what a quality case is all about!  I’d also like to point out that the external buttons that are built in the case function flawlessly and the headphone jack hole is large enough for a pro size audio jack.  Well done CM4!
