Coloud Boom Blocks

I think I finally found the ideal pair of headphones for my teenage son.  A wicked bright pair of eye popping high contrast orange/gray/white colored headphones called the Boom Blocks by Coloud.  Read on for my review of the Coloud Boom Blocks.

Coloud allows you to pick from a variety of bright color combinations for a truly unique look.  These Booms will get anyone noticed, either in the park, or in the midst of a Harlem Shuffle performance!  The Boom headphones are solid and very sturdy, but still fairly light and extremely comfortable to wear.  To alleviate tangle problems typical with some of the corded headphones, the Boom Blocks come with a tangle free flat cable system and something called the Zound Lasso ( I want a Zima!).  The Zound Lasso includes a pliable plug that bends 180 degrees and a flat cable that resists tangles and can also hold your cable in place when you aren’t using your headphones.  Coloud Boom Blocks Zound Lasso

The sound quality is superb, not overwhelmingly loud to the point of being obnoxious, but clear and robust.  The Boom headphones keep away the outside noise by design, so my teenager has a plausible excuse to ignore me when I call.  Another cool feature are the Mic and Remote, which rest on the flat cable made from TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) – all very flexible and bendy.  The Microphone is sensibly sensitive and the remote lets you pick up incoming calls, as well as play/pause forward and rewind your music.  All in all, the Booms are pretty groovy, easy to use, and reasonably priced headphones that will love your ears a long time.  Yours for about $39 here.
