Low Tech Sundial Ring Works Well

Using the sun to tell time is a very old trick, one that most folks don’t know how to do nowadays. An easy, and low tech, way is to use a Sundial Ring. The Sundial Ring ($23) is easy to use. Simply take the ring off of your finger and;

1. Point the small hole on the ring towards the sun
2. Calibrate for the month
3. Calibrate for latitude
4. The dot of light on the inside of the ring will tell you the time

Heck, even if you don’t want to wear a ring you could tie this onto your bug-out bag.
