Skully Augmented Reality Motorcycle Helmet Dies Untimely Death

Skully Helmet Bankrupt

Hopefully you weren’t on the list of people who put money down and are waiting for the crowdfunded Skully augmented reality motorcycle helmet. If so, you are out of luck as Skully is filing for Chapter 7. In case you aren’t familiar with Chapter 7, it is the type of bankruptcy where there is no plan for repayment. This is the ultimate worst case scenario for crowdfunded ventures.

Apparently, Skully has been scrambling for additional funding and a possible sale to Chinese tech giant LeEco. Neither came through. Word on the street is that executive spending was a bit aggressive. Bummer.
