SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive – 2X Hardware Encryption
As more and more people rely on their USB flash drives to store data (some personal and private), the need for data encryption is rising. Many of the software encryption for USB flash drives is difficult and non-intuitive to use.
SanDisk is addressing the need for strong and easy to use encryption on their latest flash drive, the SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Drive. The drive has both password protection and 258-bit AES hardware encryption.
Another nice bit about the latest SanDisk flash drives is the capless design… it works like a stiletto switchblade.
The UltraBackup USB drive starts at 8GB ($40ish) and goes up to 64GB ($200ish)… should see them in the stores by Spring 09.
Buy the Biggest and Cheapest drive and use freeware encryption software – its BETTER and MORE RELIABLE than the embedded crap, oh yeah and its FREE.
Cheap Dude… normally I agree with the cheap/free route. However tinkering with a software application is not fun. I don’t want to think about the process… I just want the hardware to do the work.
