YikeBike – Ultra Portable Electric Bike
Designed and constructed in Christchurch New Zealand, the YikeBike is the worlds smallest, lightest electric folding bicycle at about 22lbs. The YikeBike is available for pre-orders and expects to ship in 2010. The bike folds up (in about 15 seconds) and is small enough to fit into a decent sized carrying case. The bike has a 1kW motor which powers the 20-inch front wheel, a carbon fiber body, charges in about a half hour, and will run for about 5 miles with a top speed of 12MPH. The bike will run you about $5000 to $5570.
Looks a bit top heavy to me. Wonder how it would handle some serious bumps.

The YikeBike weighs about 20 lb. (9 kg) and runs on a lithium phosphate battery that can be charged to 80% capacity in 20 minutes.
