The resident iRobot a-hole CEO, Colin Angle, recently made a statement that the company may begin selling customers house floor plans. Specifically it mentioned selling to Amazon, Apple, and/or Google. This assumes they are even buyers. Let me back-up a bit. Apparently the newer iRobot Roomba’s scan and map the inside of your home. We all assumed this was just so this robotic vacuum cleaner could navigate the house and contents in a more efficient manner. Makes sense, right? Well in a truly douchey fashion iRobot is now pondering...

If your house is smelling a bit funky, why not kill two birds with one stone.  Vacuum your carpets while deodorizing the air.  A company called Robot Add-ons has a cool Roomba accessory in the form of a air freshener that mounts onto the vacuuming robot.  The RoomAroma add-ons will set you back about $14.99 here.  Yep,...

As much as I sorta like my Roomba vacuum, I would be much happier to give my money to Toshiba.  Why?  Because I haven't had much luck getting iRobot on the phone when I had an issue.  Sure, Toshiba might be more of the same, but I am ready to hop ship.  The Toshiba Smarbo robot vacuum has a camera, two CPUs, gyro sensors, acceleration...

It has been a while since...

I own an iRobot Roomba… and love it.  I am not sure it is really much of a time saver… as I am so amazed by the damn thing and tend to follow it around...

Robotic vacuums have been around for quite a while. The best known of the bunch tends to be the iRobot Roomba line of vacuums. I have been avoiding the Roomba’s ever since I have gotten ahold of my iLife A4 Smart Robotic Vacuum. You can read more about that here. I digress. Samsung is placing a bet on the robotic vacuum cleaner space with a very expensive entry. The Samsung SR2AK9350U...

I used to be a fan of the Roomba robotic vacuums but I haven’t had much luck with the last two I have purchased. Roomba prices have remained high while quality has slipped. Another Roomba frustration is the fact that I have replaced the battery 3 times in a matter of a year. Goodbye Roomba, hello

The vacuum loving folks at Dyson have stayed out of the robotic vacuum cleaner space for quite some time. Apparently they have been a few years and millions of dollars trying to get things right before releasing a robotic vacuum. The Dyson 360 Eye Robotic Vacuum Cleaner is their first attempt. A major difference between the Dyson 360 Eye and the competition is the use of a 360 degree camera that is mounted on top of the unit. This camera allows the Dyson 360 Eye to accurately map its surroundings. This means that the robot will not...

Yep, it is like a Roomba, but for your BBQ grill.  The Grillbot runs around the surface of your bbq grill and knocks off most of the grubby remains from you last grill session.  You can use the Grillbot grill cleaning robot on a hot (up to 250-degrees) or cold grill.  Push the button and it will clean for 5 minutes, push the button twice for a 7 minute clean.  The rechargeable...

Sharp wants a piece of the robotic vacuum business that seems to be owned by iRobot.  They aren't the first tech company to give the Roomba a run for the money, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, and
