The Boxcooler by Sebastian Bertram allows you to carry and keep your snacks cold. The cool part about the backpack (no pun intended) is the thermoelectric peltier element which keeps your food/drink cold without the typical “freezer batteries”...

So you can’t afford a speedboat, no big deal, get yourself the 6-person Inflatable Bay Breeze Boat instead. As the name implies, it can hold 6-people it also has a rear swim-up platform with five handles, eight cup holders, and a built-in cooler. This desktop gadget by Nomodo not only wirelessly charges your Qi enabled devices it keeps drinks cool or warm. One cable for two gadgets, sounds good to me. The Nomodo Trio lets you switch between heating or cooling your mug/glass/can. Heck, they even throw in a coffee cup for you. Not bad for $79. ...

Subaru has, for the most part, ignored the SUV market, until now. Subaru’s latest vehicle is a new SUV with a new engine. Of course it will be all-wheel drive. The Subaru Ascent comes with a new 2.4-liter engine in the usual boxer configuration. This engine has 10.6:1 compression (higher than normal for Subaru) and a twin-scroll turbocharger with intercooler. All of this means that it will have 260 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a CVT style and can tow up to 5,000-lbs. The wheel base is 113.8-inches with 153.5 cubic...

The OTTOLOCK is a clever take on the age old problem of what bike lock should I use. You can go with the super heavy and slightly more secure locks but you have to lug that weight around with you. And to be fair, all locks, yes all locks, can be compromised rather quickly with the right tools. Think angle grinders, plasma cutters, bolt cutters and the like. If you leave a nice bike locked overnight in the urban jungle it will most likely not make it through...

The SOUNDBOKS speaker is portable… just like a YETI Tundra 65 Cooler is “portable”. They both have handles anyway. That isn’t the point really as this speaker system claims to be the loudest portable speaker (119dB). Not sure if that is the case though, considering the DiamondBoxx Model XL says it goes to 120dB. I digress. The

Why would you stuff a Ferrari engine into a 1932 Ford and then twin turbo charge it? Because you can! This Vintage Flats satin red fiberglass bodied 32 Ford is a crazy mashup. They started off with the poor mans Ferrari engine (from a 1989 Mondial) and took it up to 950-horsepower with help from twin Turbonetics turbos. Specs and pictures after the break. Oh yeah, you can buy this for about $250k from MP Classics World

The Hennessey Velociraptor 6X6 Truck. Because, just because! This ridiculously priced animal ($295,000+) starts off as a 2017 Ford Raptor. An extra axle and 20-inch wheels are added, Fox suspension, new roll bar, LED lights, and new bumpers front to back. Why stop there? Opt for the engine upgrade and it takes the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 from 450 hp to over 600 hp with upgraded exhaust, intercooler, computer, and turbos. Ordering my hot wheels version  now. ...

Ryobi Modular Garage Door Opener

The team at Ryobi, known for tools, has focused their design chops on the boring garage door opener. They took something that was generally ignored and expected to “just work” and massively improved it. A bit like the Coolest Cooler.

Ryobi Garage Door Opener Modules

The Ryobi Modular Garage Door Opener starts off by improving the obvious features. There is an ultra-quiet 2-hp motor, a steel reinforced belt drive, LED lighting with motion sensors, WiFi connectivity with smartphone application for remote control from anywhere, HomeLink compatibility, a backup battery for normal use during power outages (up to 100 open/closes), multiple remotes, and a digital keypad. Then they started added cool features in the form of modular add-ons like a retractable extension cord, fan, carbon dioxide detector, laser parking assist, and a bluetooth speaker. Video after the break. (more…)

Drinking beer is serious business and is not to be take lightly. Sure you can show up to your next summer bbq with a cooler. It would be cooler though, to show up with a Beer Briefcase ($41). Each bottle is safely nestled in its own foam slot and there is even a combination lock to keep your beer safe. ...
