SJSU Second Life

San Jose State University (SJSU), my alma mater, is taking a big leap forward by offering a virtual campus on the Second Life game (?).  Some day, mark my words, we are all going to be socially backwards and scared to see anyone face-to-face in this world of drive through’s, ATM’s, online banking, online grocery with delivery, etc…

“The virtual university spans 16 digital acres dotted with school buildings that Library Sciences Department students use for classes and experiments.”

Second Life is a joke, its for people who do not have a First Life!!! After the initial hype wore off years ago, the only people using it were scammers, fake bankers, fake realtors, gamblers, money launderers, and socially retarded people looking for online sexx0rz with scammers or other socially retarded peoplez. Once SL cracked down on some of their criminals they lost 90% subscribers! Got to give props to SL’s marketing people though, they got put enough lipstick on this PIG and spend enough money to get is mentioned on NYCIS show and suckered companies like IBM to drop some coin before all the scams hit the net. Anyhooo, the only interesting thing about SL is watching the latest scams or burst bubbles make the news.
