“The new line of Regza HDTVs from Toshiba that were previewed at CES earlier this year will start to ship, with the addition of a new mid-range series to its line as well. First of all, we have the SV670 to lead the pack, featuring an LED backlight that offers local dimming support on individual areas of the screen, alongside other features such as 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 240Hz panel and 14-bit internal color processing among others. You can choose from 46" and 55" models that retail for $2,300 and $3,000, respectively. As for the ZV650 line, this one relies on the more conventional cold-cathode fluorescent (CCFL) backlight, offering 100,000:1 contrast ratio and a 240Hz panel. The ZV650 line will come in 42", 46" and 55" varieties, retailing for $1,300, $1,700 and $2,400, respectively. Last but not least would be the new XV648 model that isn’t up there in terms of features with just a 120Hz panel and CCFL-lit display, but at least it will be cheap with its 40", 46" and 52" models going for $1,100, $1,500 and $2,000 each.”
