Mountain Dew Throwback With Real Sugar

Mountain Dew Throwback

I know, this is a gadget site, why write about Mountain Dew with real sugar?  Well if you are a gadget type, you know that Mountain Dew is nerd fuel and is important to the gadget culture.  Now that I got that out of the way, let me rant about why I like sodas with real sugar.  Read on for details and a mini review of Mountain Dew Throwback.

I think we get way too much corn in our diet.  I don't mean real organic corn, corn on the cob is fine, because we don't eat it with every meal.  I mean engineered corn (from evil Monsanto), meats (chicken, beef, fish) that are forced to eat corn as their main feed, and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) that is in just about everything sweet.  Just about every meal American's eat today has been touched by corn.

With that said, I like good old fashioned real sugar and I hope the big guys are listening so that I can start drinking sodas again.  In the meantime I am stocking up on Mountain Dew Throwback (MDTB).  The first 3 ingredients in MDTB are carbonated water, sugar, and orange juice concentrate, from there it goes to words I can't pronounce in a hurry.

Long story short I think the MDTB is smoother and easier to drink than the regular HFCS Mountain Dew.  If you want to read a very detailed review of Mountain Dew Throwback click here.

Agreed – the taste is smoother and makes the stuff with corn syrup taste like p00p. The Pepsi throwback is way better than HFCS Pepsi as well.

I agree with all of your comments on the positive aspects of drinking and enjoying mountain dew throwback. I’d like to know why it isn’t being made available in 2 liter size. Any information on when this may happen, if at all?

    Thanks
