The Google Search Appliance is basically a server that makes it easy for any company small or huge to offer a secure search engine for their intranet and web sites. The only real shocker here, besides seeing Google in the hardware/server appliance space, is that it is made by Dell OEM Solutions.
The Google Search Appliance is even shipped by Dell, configured by Dell but comes with a Google T-shirt. Funny.
