Sony Cyber-Shot TX200V

Typically, waterproof or ruggedized cameras tend to look a bit too big and/or bulky.  Sony has bucked that ugly camera trend with their latest Cyber-Shot TX200V Waterproof Camera. The TX200V is skinny at 16mm deep, waterproof to five meters, freeze-proof, and dustproof.  Ok, so how do the camera features stack up?  Pretty good actually, you get an 18.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor, a 3-inch LCD touchscreen, 5x optical zoom, 1080/60p video recording, high-speed autofocus, a built-in GPS and Compass, face detection technology, and optical image stabilization.   Expect to see the Sony TX200V for sale in March for about $500.  Can't wait to see it in action.

I own this camera and it still takes good shots even on dark deep water. We take shots of sharks using this while on scuba diving in the Philippines. But i dont recommend it above water. I still use my brand new nikon L120 for shoots on land 🙂
