This last weekend we were running around at Santana Row. While walking past a new shop, Hastens, we felt sorry for the guy inside as he looked incredibly bored and had no customers. So we went inside to see what this well lit store was all about. Boy were we in for a surprise.
Apparently some folks have entirely too much money. Hastens makes beds that cost over $90,000, specifically the Hastens Vividus Bed. The bed is filled with such things as horsehair, cotton, pine, flax and wool and is made entirely by hand. While the thought of buying a bed that costs as much as a Tesla Roadster (which you can buy across the street) sounds crazy to me, someone must be buying them as Hastens has been in business since 1852. Was it comfy, yes. Was it $97,000 comfy, uh not according to my thin wallet.
