It looks like the green movement might just be a reality as it even touches the red neck venue of monster trucks. With that said, I have been to a monster truck event, and it was fun to watch, just too damn loud. I guess an electric monster truck solves the noise problem at least.
A collaboration between team BIGFOOT and battery manufacturer EnerSys has made this electric monster truck a reality. Dubbed the ODYSSEY Battery BIGFOOT No. 20 Monster Truck, it is the world's first electric monster truck.
This electric BIGFOOT truck uses 36 ODYSSEY PC1200 car batteries to power a custom built DC electric motor. This single electric motor produces 350 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque. Watch a video of e-BIGFOOT in action after the break.
