Just when you thought "made in America" was a thing of the past, Shinola makes a hand-assembled watch, get this, in Detroit. The Shinola Runwell Watch ($550) is made up of nearly four-dozen Swiss made parts and includes an quartz Argonite 1069 movement, domed sapphire crystal, an illuminated dial, a stainless steel case, a vegetable-tanned Horween leather band, and your choice of 40mm or 47mm bezels.
Flip the watch over and you see an individually numbered and serialized back plate that reads "Built in Detroit". Shinola will only be making 1,500 Runwell watches and plans on shipping them in July 2013.
