One of the reasons I am hesitant to purchase a 3D printer is the difficulty in designing my 3D renderings to print. While the 3D software has improved significantly I am still a bit leery. And, until now, 3D scanners were just to expensive and/or complicated. Enter the iSense 3D Scanner for iPad ($500). The user of the 3D Systems iSense can walk around most items, even people, and scan them in full 3D. Very cool.
