Origo Folding Boat Rowing

A families passion to design and build a folding boat they could fit in their car for trips to the water has created another Kickstarter campaign. The boat, named Origo, is built by Jure Dolinšek and his two sons Luka and David. The Origo folding boat ($990 – $2,500) goes from a bunch of pieces to a competed boat in around 10-15 minutes. It can be run by oars, electric/gasoline motors, or even a sail. Read on for details.

The Origo Boat is under 10-feet in length, weighs 141 pounds, and packs down to just 110 x 9.8-inches. Perfect for storing in the garage or transporting to the lake in an average car. Everything is assembled without tools. The entire boat is made of plastic and is 100% recyclable.
