If you have ever installed a roof rack on your vehicle for carrying your extra curricular activities you know how challenging it can be. Think bikes, boats, surfboards, etc…
Some cars require drilling holes in the roof or the use of potentially paint scratching window grabber mounts. Not cool. With that said, there are a handful of cars that make putting roof racks on quite easy. For example, the Tesla Model S has four threaded holes hiding under little trapdoors waiting for a roof rack installation.
So, if you don’t have one of these “easy cars” for a traditional Yakima or Thule rack system then you may want to check out the Sea Sucker board and bike racks. Sea Sucker racks use super-strong 6-inch vacuum cups. Basically suction cups on steroids. If you worry about the rack flying off on the freeway, don’t. Take a look a the pictures, after the break, one of which shows a guy on his bike hanging off the back of his SUV.
I have just purchased a 2016 Aluminum body Ford truck and I have to mount my roof Fire dept warning lights , will these allow me to secure the system to the my roof without support straps thru the cab.
