This unique one-off racing bike was conceived by Nuno Teixeira back in 2010 and has finally made it to a finished product. The Pluma Track Bike was built for a Geneva-based customer by Constellation Composites. Because the Pluma (Portuguese for ‘feather’) was built to be a track racer, it only has a single 51 x 15 fixed gear and no brakes.
The fairing is a PVC foam core wrapped in layers of carbon fiber. Not only does this unique fairing provide good aerodynamics but it also protects the riders from eh drivetrain and wheels in the event of a crash.
