Western Digital 300GB VelociRaptor – World’s Fastest SATA Hard Drive

Speed freaks get your wallets out, for $300 (in May) you can have the world’s fastest SATA hard drive.  The Western Digital VelociRaptor is 35% faster than the previous WD Raptors and features 10,000 RPM, 3Gbps SATA interface, 16MB cache, 1.4 million hour MTBF, and large heat sink.  The heat sink takes the 2.5-inch drive and causes it to fill at 3.5-inch drive bay.
