Plextor’s 50-Percent Faster SSD For Gamers

Remember Plextor?  They used to make great optical CD and DVD drives and burners.  They have been quiet for quite some time but are now going after the SSD market.

The Plextor M6e SSD drive is faster than typical, already fast, SSD drives by going around the SATA channel directly to the PCIe port.  Grab Plextor's 128GB PCIe SSD drive for around $275, or their 512GB model for $750.  You can expect sequential reads/writes of up to 770/625 MB/s, and random reads/writes of up to 105k/100k IOPS.
