Point – A Sound Activated Home Security System

Security cameras are hard to beat when it comes to a home/business security system. They make a very accurate witness to what has happened and can even alert you as events occur. That doesn’t mean you can’t supplement your home security with Point from Form Devices, a Scandinavian company.

Some sensors included on the Point security system include sound, smoke, humidity, and temperature. They call it “soft security”. The Point system ($79) uses batteries, so installation is a snap. The batteries need to be changed once a year. Point can notify you if you have a sudden spike in humidity (common with water leaks), or if someone is smoking in your house, or more importantly if a window is broken, etc…
