World’s Largest Solar Farm Now Open For Business

A new solar farm has gone live in Jumilla Spain and it is humongous! The project covers over 247 acres, creates up to 20 megawatts, reduces CO2 emissions by about 42,000 tons per year, and can power up to 20,000 homes…. all this while generating $28 million per year. From the looks of things, a lot of trees had to die for this project, still worth it.

  1. Looks like desert scrub to me .. trees look pretty sparse nearby. Perhaps they can plant a few trees in the scrub to offset the few they had to take down.
