Using Drones To Help Make It Rain

Drones continue to make headlines as they are being used for fishing, videography, racing, human flight, and more. So, no surprise that they are soon going to be used for cloud seeding to help make it rain. Well that is the plan anyways. A group of researchers in Nevada completed their first flight of their unmanned cloud seeding drone, the “Sandoval Silver State Seeder”.

The cloud seeding drone was sent up on a test flight (currently limited at 400-feet) and successfully deployed two silver-iodine flares, used to help kick-off rainfall from clouds. This one is a no brainer to save lives and money. No need to send humans up for this type of thing once it is perfected.
