I remember the crappy go karts we had as kids. They were total Frankenstein machines that we cobbled together with whatever the had laying around. While they were terrifyingly unsafe and slow, we felt like we were Nascar professionals on our neighborhood streets. Some of the best memories of my childhood were made on a scary lawnmower engine powered go kart.
As usual, things have evolved. Check out this $1,299 beast! It has a 212CC 4-stroke engine (4.4HP), front and rear suspension, a bucket seat, tubular steel frame, 7″ inflatable tires, 2.6L fuel tank, and a top speed of 32MPH. Everything about this sounds perfectly amazing although the product page (at Amazon) is super contradictory. I just add that up to Chinese enthusiasm. For example it has one picture that shows a 6’7″ rider and another shows a 4’8″ hobbit, another example is conflicting information about 6″ and 7″ tires, another part even take about lighting and and lithium battery power. Long story short… it is a hot mess of an Amazon product page but it still peaks my interest. If anyone buys this, please weigh in.
