Maestro Dobel Tequila

Tequila is good stuff.  I, like many, hated tequila… mainly because I was drinking the  Maestro Dobel Tequilacrappy stuff in college.  In fact… if you have ever gotten sick on tequila (I have) it becomes tough to give it another shot.  Soooo with that said… let’s talk about “good” tequila which is very different than “crappy” tequila.

Maestro Dobel tequila ($75) is a hand crafted first-ever diamond-clear tequila.  What does that mean?  That means they blend and filter the tequila in some secret method.  The tequila is made from hand selected agave from the volcanic Iowlands of Jalisco.  The cool part is that it is actually made from three types of tequila mixed together, Reposado, Anejo, and Extra-Anejo.

If you try it before I do… let me know how it tastes.

  1. You had me going until the part about mixing the vintages together… Seems a little dubious. Now I have to test it myself.
