Apple tuned up its desktop and laptop lines this morning with the major changes hitting the iMac and MacBook.
Read on for details and pictures of the major changes,
The new iMac's are mostly aluminum and have the edge-to-edge glass. New iMac's will come in 21.5 (1,920 x 1,080) and 27-inch (2,560 x 1,440) models, each with a 16:9 HD aspect ratio. More powerful processors, an SD Card reader, and the ability to go up to 2TB on the biggest unit.
Apples best selling laptop, the 13-inch MacBook, got a going over as well. The laptop is keeping it's white polycarbonate shell and $999 price tag.
The polycarbonate case is copying the MacBook pro's unibody chassis style and rounding off the sharp edges. The touchpad is similar to the one found on MacBook Pro's as well.
Mouse and Keyboard Changes
The wireless keyboard and mouse now come standard with the iMac and have both been redesigned. The keyboard is now all aluminum (body). The mouse (called the Magic Mouse for some reason) now uses a touch capacitive similar to a trackpad. You can use the two buttons or drag your finger down the middle of the mouse to scroll.
