Look, no sense in beating around the bush, times are tough and Christmas is going to be a bit lighter this year. This doesn't mean I won't be buying gifts for family/friends, but it does mean they will be getting some less expensive gadgets this year. In my hunt for budget gadgets, I found a cool site BudgetGadgets.com. Read on for some good gadgety gifts that are priced under $10.
Products from BudgetGadgets.com ship from Singapore (at least mine did) and take about two weeks to get to you. But considering that almost everything on their site ships for free, I have no problem waiting. The quality is about what you would expect,
1 - A great puzzle box that is perfect for kids, or the puzzle freak in your life. Only $9.47. The box has two secret hidden compartments to store your secret (small) stuff.
2 - For $9.36 you can get your hands on a unique digital LED watch that tells time by lighting up some of its 29 LED's. The watch also displays month, date, and AM/PM.
3 - In an effort to stay with cheap gifts, keep that old iPhone alive a bit longer with a replacement battery. This kit includes the tools to get the job done for only $5.75.
4 - For less than $9 you can have a clip-on Mega Pixel webcam for your desktop or laptop. In addition to the cool clear casing are 3 LED's lighting up the view.
5 – This lighter looks like a Zippo but clearly isn't at just $5.22. The lighter comes in many designs and sports the classic flip top design.
6 - Perfect gift for the Macgyver in your life that always has bandages, duct tape, and a Swiss army knife handy. The mini portable sewing machine looks like a stapler to me, but works to get quick jobs done in a pinch. $5.28.
7 - I am not sure if this is really a great gift idea but the pictures on the website were priceless. The site says they are good for “the fight against age and gravity". Who can argue that claim for $5.40?
8 - You might think that this would be a great gag gift, but I disagree. It is three nodding cats that run off of solar power. I love just about everything solar so this is on my list. Video of the $9.85 cats in action here.
9 – Perfect gift for your alcoholic uncle, this breathalyzer has a digital read out to let you know if you are OK to drive. Hold the button, blow on the sensor and see your BAC. Bargain at $9.06.
10 - Make the iPhone 3G phone play music over your FM radio with this digital FM transmitter.
Works from 88.1 to 107.9MHz. $9.14.
