Why am I writing about diapers? No, I haven't gone crazy, yet. I just babysat for my friends kids over the weekend and they have 2 babies in diapers (don't ask). The amount of plastic diapers I threw away was staggering, and I was only with these screaming cute babies for the weekend! The plastic poop bombs will sit in landfills for a loooong time, 500 years to be exact. Some 50 million disposable diapers enter landfills each day (not year, day!). We have to switch to a smarter alternative and the best one other than laundering cloth diapers (which has many issues as well) is gDiapers.
gDiapers are the most eco-friendly diaper available today. The gDiapers use a 100% biodegradable gRefill or a gCloth insert. Either way you aren't using plastic, latex, perfumed, or chlorine bleached products on your baby.
I could go on and on about the need for gDiapers, but you should check them out here and read amazing reviews from people actually using them on their own kids.
These diapers are expensive! And so is raising a baby. Survival first. Worry about the environment later.
