We recently visited a Jack In The Box restaurant for some healthy food (snicker). I did order the chicken teriyaki bowl, which I believe is one of the few healthier options. Either way, we happened to notice an ATM looking machine which is used for ordering food without having to talk to a human. Not sure what I think of this worldwide trend of less and less human interaction, but oh well. My friend ordered from the Jack In The Box kiosk and I ordered from a good old fashioned human. Here is a bit about our experience.
Here comes the spoiler, the human was way faster than the machine. I am sure a bit of that can be attributed to the fact that the machine was new to my friend, but it took him about a full minute or two more than me to finish ordering and paying. A few of things that he noticed on the machine, 1) nice interface, 2)it talks to you, 3) nice pictures with good upgrade options, 4)the machine was bilingual, and 5) the unit takes cash, credit, and debit.
The robots (if you can call this a robot) are slowly replacing the humans one job at a time.
This is really interesting! Is there anything else you can describe? If you don’t mind i would like to use a piece of this for a story.
