The Scosche cellControl ($129.95) is a safe driving system that blocks the use of "unsafe" cell phone applications while your car is driving. After you have installed the OBD-II gadget in your car, the application on your compatible smartphone, and activated the system, you are ready to go.
The Scosche cellControl will not allow you to text message, email, use the camera, make phone calls (unless a handsfree device is detected), and much more while the vehicle is in motion.
While this may be great, and incredibly frustrating, for your teenage drivers or fleet drivers, I will never put it in my car. With that said, I am not one who condones playing with your phone while driving. I just don't want to be hardware blocked from using my phone while someone else is driving my car and I am in the passenger seat, or if there is a drunk driver and I need to make an emergency phone call, or take and emergency picture/video. You get the idea. Also, the Scosche cellControl doesn't work on the iPhone.
