BlackBerry thumbs, meet any phone. The Clicks Power Keyboard snaps onto the back of your phone with MagSafe or Qi2 magnets, then a full backlit QWERTY slides out from underneath when you need to type. Inside is a 2,300 mAh battery that wirelessly tops up your phone, and the keyboard pairs over Bluetooth with up to 9 devices, so it also types on your iPad, Apple TV or Vision Pro. Price: $149, and Clicks has it at $119 for a limited time.
Not the Communicator
We already gushed over the Clicks Communicator, which is a whole Android phone built around a keyboard. The Power Keyboard is the opposite pitch: keep the phone you already have and bolt the keys on when you want them. It slides away when you do not, it works with your existing case, and the slider has multiple positions so it fits everything from an iPhone Air to a Pro Max or a Pixel.
Keyboard plus power bank
The 2,300 mAh pack pushes 5W of Qi wireless charging into your phone. By default Clicks holds back 500 mAh for the keyboard itself, so you can drain the bank into a dying phone and still type. You can change that reserve, or switch wireless charging off entirely, in the Clicks app. Pairing is a shortcut: hold the 123 key and tap 0.
Spec sheet that matters
- Keyboard: slide-out backlit QWERTY with dedicated number keys and extra symbols, adjustable LED backlight
- Battery: 2,300 mAh built in, 500 mAh reserved for the keyboard by default (adjustable)
- Charging out: 5W Qi wireless to your phone
- Attachment: MagSafe (iPhone) and Qi2 (Android); a magnetic case or ring works for phones without magnets
- Bluetooth: BLE 5.4, up to 9 paired devices; tested with Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro
- Size / weight: 119.7 x 76.6 x 15.2 mm, 180 g
The fine print: at 180 g it adds real heft to your phone, and 5W wireless is a top-up, not a fast charge. Phones without MagSafe or Qi2 need a magnetic case or ring to hold it.
