The Nissan Leaf Power Control System, which will be available to Japanese customers this July, will not only charge your Nissan Leaf, but will turn your car into a home power backup system. The Nissan Leaf's battery will supply the house with 6kWh of power if you need it. This should be enough to keep an average home powered for two days. The Nissan Power Control System will be available through Nissan dealers for about 480,000 yen ($6,000) with government subsidies. Video of the this home power system after the break.
