Ploom Pax Vaporizer

If you are the type of person that likes using a vaporizer for tobacco, herbs, etc, you have no doubt seen some big changes happening in this market.  This latest portable vaporizer, the Ploom Pax, takes a step in the right direction for portable vaporizers.  Read on for details of Pax Vaporizer.

Ploom Pax Vaporizer Review

Some of the coolest features of the Ploom Pax Portable Vaporizer include an anodized aluminum body, a small and pocket friendly size, a rechargeable battery with charging dock, a retractable mouthpiece, three temperature settings (yellow = 370-degrees, orange = 390-degrees, red = 410-degrees) and a multifunction LED indicator (shows battery life, temperature setting, and heat-up/ready status).

While the design of the Ploom Pax Vaporizer isn’t perfect, is headed in the right direction.  Why isn’t it perfect?  The retractable mouthpiece is a great idea, but it is tough to click in/out.  The mouthpiece could also be a bit longer to keep from cooking your lips as the body of the unit heats up.  While the cooking oven works well, two things concern me.  One is long term cleaning will be a bit difficult, and two the oven only cooks from out the outside which tends to mean burnt herbs on the outside and less so on the inside.

A few more random tidbits about the Pax – the oven will hold between .15-.25 grams comfortably, comes with a long 10 year warranty, and has a neat shake-to-check battery life function.
