What to get the gadget person in your life that (thinks) they have everything? You know the guy/gal that always manages to top your latest gadget. The conversation goes something like this, “Check out my new Swiss Army Knife, it has 20 tools built-in”… and they say, “cool, check mine out, it has 30 tools built-in”. You know this person… we all have one in our life. Now that I think about it… you probably don’t want to buy them anything this year. Save your money, or buy this insane 100+MPH remote control car – the Traxxas X0-1.
The Traxxas X0-1 RC car is not for young kids or the faint of heart. Not only is it going to be incredibly hard to manage (= amazing) at 100MPH or even 50MPH for that matter… but it is quite expensive at $999. The Traxxas X0-1 is a 1/7th scale (27 inches long) RC with two big Lithium-Ion Polymer (LiPo) batteries rated at 5,000 mAh, a bank of capacitors, and a huge brushless motor. The 0-60MPH time is a blistering 2.3 seconds… and the 0-100MPH time is 4.92 seconds. You have to see it to believe it, video after the break.
