The folks at 3D Robotics are taking a page from Apples marketing playbook with an early teaser video for their newest drone. Most hobby, and even professional, quadcopter operators tend to gravitate to the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ or the Yuneec, Q500 Typhoon. The 3D Robotics quadcopters have never really garnered mainstream popularity, yet.
The latest 3D Robotics drone (I hate that word) looks like a black DJI Phantom (to me anyways) and appears to have first person view (FPV), a case (hopefully), and possibly follow me (inferred from the drawings on the case). From the video you can assume this copter will have a new gimbal design and will be easy enough for baboons to fly?
Look for the new 3D Robotics Quad on 4.13.15 (5 days after DJI’s new model launches).
