Most of the US is blanketed in fast internet and subsequently WiFi. We expect it to work all of the time just like the light switch. And someday that might be reality. But today, wifi still struggles with imperfections. There are plenty of wireless routers trying to solve this problem.
Check out the Starry WiFi Station ($349) which aims to simplify your home WiFi with some pretty visualizations (and more). At a glance you can see the “health” of your home internet setup. The ambient touchscreen on the Starry WiFi Station shows how many devices are using WiFi via colored dots. The bigger the dot the more data they are using. If the dot is blue, all is well. If the dot is red, there are some issues that need to be resolved.
Another cool feature of the Starry WiFi Router is that it runs frequent speed tests to make sure you are getting the speeds your re paying for. There are the traditional parental controls to limit user time windows, guest network settings, and more.
