Fitness gadgets continue to fight for a ride on your wrist. Samsung isn’t new to the fitness wristband space and hopes the Gear Fit 2 ($179) will fix problems that plagued the original Gear Fit. Samsung tuned up their previous fitness formula and added more features.
One thing that hasn’t changed, too much, with the new Gear Fit 2 is the size. The Gear Fit 2 is just a little longer and a bit wider due to the updated screen. The display is a 1.5-inch curved AMOLED screen which is almost twice as large as the original. The most important change between the Gear Fit and the Gear Fit 2 is that the newer version is magnitudes more comfortable to wear. Battery life is now 3-4 days so no need to charge daily.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 now sports a GPS, 4GB’s of storage for saved music, bluetooth support, and Facebook sharing. Lastly the displaying of stats is fixed vertically on the screen.
