Automatic is a company that makes a gadget that plugs in to your ODB port under your dashboard. This gadget, the Automatic Pro ($129), logs and relays data via 3G (no additional cost to the user for 5 years) and allows users to monitor a ton of dat via the Automatic Pro app.
Some things you can monitor via the Automatic Pro include;
- If you get in an accident, Automatic will contact you and emergency services to get help on the way.
- Real-time car location. Great for tracking your teenage driver or trying to find your car in a crowded parking lot.
- IFTTT integration to do tons of stuff. (for example, turn on your house lighting when arriving home, or turn off your thermostat when you leave home.)
