Airspeeder Racing Series

Now that the RC quadcopters and drones have proven so stable and reliable, they are growing in size and carrying humans. It was only a matter of time. Heck, the Tesla’s are basically giant versions of the electric RC cars I play with from time-to-time.

Looks like these coaxial octocopter versions (and quadcopter styles) will be hitting the sky to race within the next 18-months if all goes to plan. Airspeeder plans to make these retro-looking copters for racing – they will be about 13-feet long by 11.5-feet wide, weigh 500lbs, run on batteries, and go about 120mph. Fingers crossed this becomes a reality.
