The XTEINK X3 is the opposite: a 3.7-inch e-ink slab that weighs about 58g, measures roughly 0.2 inches thick, and exists to steal those dead minutes between “boarding group C” and “please stow your tray table.” Street pricing usually floats around ~$63-79 depending on the day and the seller mood.
This is not a Kindle with a gym membership. No front light. No touchscreen. Physical page buttons plus a gyroscope shake-to-turn trick so one-handed subway reading does not require thumb yoga. Storage starts with a 16GB microSD (expandable up to 256GB). Battery is a 650mAh cell that XTEINK pitches for roughly a week of casual reading, or about 10 hours of more serious page-flipping.
Charging is magnetic pogo-pin, with adhesive metal rings in the box so you can stick the reader to MagSafe-ish phone backs and pretend your library is a phone accessory. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth is aboard, and NFC is there for unencrypted access-card party tricks (legal, personal use only – do not become a bad movie).
Stock firmware is focused and a little stubborn: think DRM-free EPUB/TXT and image formats, official app transfers, not a Kindle store portal. The fun plot twist is the open-firmware crowd – CrossPoint community builds have turned the X3 into a much nerdier reader if you like flashing things on purpose. Warranty will not hug you if you brick it doing cool-kid stuff.
Buy it if you want a distraction-free pocket paperback replacement and you read in daylight. Skip it if you need bedtime backlight, Amazon DRM convenience, or a screen bigger than a sticky note with ambition – the X3 just shrunk the thesis until it fits behind your phone.
